Technical Question: As a general rule of thumb. Not having the Yamaha spring scale tool, and with the track elevated off the ground...How much tension (deflection) should the track have? Book says 1.18" - 1.38" for the XTX. But if I am just pressing down on the center of the track, how much tension should I feel?

Suppose to apply 22 lbs of pressure. I use a belt tension tool to adjust mine. $18-30
Some guys hang a weight on the track. Here is one similar to mine on Amazon

Does it make any difference having extroverts?

You can run them looser with extroverts. They wont ratchet.

I found a couple pieces of iron around that weigh 22#. I lay them in the track, don't forget to take them out. Even after that adjustment you may need to take it out and hit the throttle a couple times and see if it ratchets. If it does I go a half turn at a time on each adjuster till it don't jump.
