I extended my rails with TracksUSA and installed a new 136" Cobra track on my RX-1. I haven't touched the rear tensioners yet and the track seems real tight. Everything appears to be align correctly. Have three questions on this: 1) The bolts/nuts on the tensioners look odd. They angle towards the inside of the track, to the point the nuts are going to be hard to get at through the track window. Have I flipped these when I reinstalled or are they supposed to angle inside?
2)When I tighten the rear boggie down, they practically tighten themselves on the rail.
3) Is having the hyfax 1-2 inches long causing these issues and if so will they self correct after a few miles with out damaging the track?

:jump:

I ended up flipping the track tenstioner brackets and that solved number 1.
The track tension seems fine for now and I'm hoping the hyfax will self correct.

What do you mean by 1 -2 long? Are the slides extending past the back of the rail or are they 1 - 2 inches too short? :dunno:

They are long...but behind the boggies. They should be alright.

Maybe just tolerances and your track is slightly shorter than my 136 put some miles on it and see how much the new track stretches. As long as it adjusts to spec and you have the nut all the way onto the bolt worst case is you tighten a little more as the track stretches. I've heard of others that had the same issue with their extension project do a search, worth the effort though ;)!

I had the same sort of prob. After install of tracks usa extension my track was way to tight, and did not stretch much at all.Adjusters were almost to the end (out) I burned the hyfax off in 6 hundred miles, so run it loose. The biggest problem to me was I can;t remove or install the skid by myself anymore, the rails are like an inch longer than needed to be or somthing? Deff not right, but livin with it. Good Luck!
