I picked up a set for my Warrior for $30 at a local swap this weekend. Not worth it unless you only stand right where they mount. Even then it only helps a little. They are the genuine Yamaha one's, and I weigh about 235lbs. Hope this helps anyone considering them!

I belive the idea behind these brackets is to strengthen the tunnel so there isn't so much flex during heavy accelleration. I have them on my RX1 Mountain.

Maybe I should clarify. I bought them to strengthen up my running boards. I don't have any issues with traction. We don't get any snow in Minnesota anyways. The warrior's boards are a lot wider, and they are thinner. I hate the flexing. Maybe it's because I weigh a lot, but the traction brackets do nothing for strength. Which is what I was trying to let everyone know

I plan on getting a set of black ones for my warrior!! If anything they look really cool!!

I also noticed the bad flexing from the rails... I can almost bend with my hands!!

That was one of the first things that I added to my RX-1. That and the belly pan. The backets are very easy to put on but just watchout for the last back rivet on the bottom. When you drill through you will actually hit the heat exchangers under the rail but it is in a location where it will not damage the exchanger. Was shocked when I first did this but realized that it was OK. Yamaha make nice accessories 8)
