Trail Terminator

I had trouble getting mine to maintain rpms over 10,000 today. I changed out my belt for a new one and got it up to 10,400 +/- with 1.9gram pins in the weights. I don't know what Im actually building for boost but when its at idle the baro gauge reads 28.3 and at wot it reads 31.8 so its building something.. I would like to get a nice digital boost gauge some time but don't want to spend the extra right now...

For the past 2 weeks i've been running 65 G setup (trail terminator clutch kit ) at 10 500 rpm .

I went for a quick ride this morning and the sled was hitting almost 11 k
Had to add more weight in the arms : now at 68.3G, to put at 10 500-10600 . The trail condition were the same the last 2 weeks except its now a little colder. I find it very strange that i had a sudden shift like that in rpm .

CARBOON what else is done to your sled I would love to have 11,000 on my attack with that set up but cant even get 10,000 on mine. somthing is up

I have 07 RTX with Trail Terminator kit it rock's ran 115mph in radar run last weekend it PULS   HARD!!

First I should tell you I had dealer install my clutch kit, didnt want anybody to know I had one, one of my buddies is a mechanic and usually does the work on my sled. But after trying the kit and many different weight set ups, I couldnt get the RPMS I wanted, I was pissed so had buddy take the kit out. He informed me that the plastic ramps or buttons were tottally worn out and probably the reason for not getting the RPMS I wanted. Another reason why I dont take my sled to the dealers anymore, so monday kit will go back in, and will try it again. what are your thoughts on the ramps, Is that a reason not to get full RPMS

Yes, worn ramps will do that. Worn rollers in the primary are known to do the same thing.. Make sure your rollers roll nice and smooth..

I put over 500 miles on mine in the last 3 days and its working great.. On hard pack im running a perfect 10,500 and pulling very hard. Gettin 117-125 on the speedo (yes I know its way off just for comparison this is what Im getting) On hard packed snow, on ice I think It would climb farther. So far Im very pleased with the trail terminator kit and the yamcharger...

(Mr.pitstop ) Are you still running at 64 G in your weights to acheive 10500 rpm . Mine is set up at 68.3 G and i'm still running 10 700 rpm ,going to have to put more weight in the arms .

Yes mine is at 64 grams with the yamcharger and Im running right at 10,500.. Not sure why yours would be running so much higher with more weight on the arms, dosn't really make sense to me but Im not a clutch guru

CarboonX,
How many miles do you have on your drive belt? IF you have had it stuck or 1000 miles of hard riding. This could make your belt slip. If your belt is slipping it will raise your rpm's. Try putting a new belt on. Then check your rpm's

any new updates on this clutch kit I was looking at one for my 07 apex with ram air lid and studded track and wanted to know how everyone likes this kit

The kit is excellent. It has the smoothest engagement of any kit I have tried and performs just as good as the boss performance kit which was previously the fastest kit I have tested by about three sled lengths in 1000 ft. over the next fastest kit. I haven't had a good all out top end run yet to compare to the other kits, but it looks like it is going to be about the same. I was previously running one tooth down on top which is a 23t for my sled and found that going back to the stock 24t gear made me a little faster. They actually recommend the 25t top gear which I have as well, but have yet to try.The weights are also pretty cool. Making adjustments can't get any easier.
