For those with frequent trailer use, if you were to have a new trailer built, would you put the front unloading door on the driver's side or passenger side? Thanks.

I would go passenger, but that might be because it's just what I'm used to using?

I would do driver side if you could only have one.....for the reason when you park on the street you can drive off on the street rather than the side with the sidewalk, where there is usually a snow bank. But both would be nice as dragon said.

Driver's side. For unloading reason as above stated.
Also, when I'm driving down crappy roads i like to haul my sled on the driver's side where it's "higher" in the lane and not pulling the trailer towards the ditch.

Passanger side...We have the spare tire carrier in the floor which would be under a sled when loaded. In the event of a blown tire, sleds may have to be moved some to get to a tire, or tools. I do NOT want to drop that door on the traffic side of a busy freeway, So ours will drop toward the non-traffic side. Also put the walk in door on that side for the same reason.

On the drivers side, easy for unloading

Put it on the passenger side . Drivers side builds up a lot more slush and weight to deal with.

Great arguments for different circumstances, and I thank you for them. I do have the snowbank problem most of the year and I'd rather not have to move again after I unload. So, driver's side it is.
What kind/brand are you getting. I have the triton prestige inline and love it. Keep in mind that there 3 place will not fit three sleds.....but we measured and knew that when we bought it! Two sleds, plus all the extra luggege and tools, (and beer) that I could ever want. I don't load anything in the truck anymore. Had it about 6 years now.

I have the V Nose Pass side front door. I don't use it at all. It would be a pain to turn. I use the rear ramp and just back out.
Enlighten me if I'm missing something.
