Depending on what you are looking to spend, I too use old tracks upside and instead of ski guides I cut up old truck bed liners. Got one for free and paid $10 for the other one. Most sled salvage yards will sell you old tracks for around $10 a piece also. If looks are more inportant can get the track matts and ski guides. Quick tip if you use old bed liners though cut them in 2 foot sections for they expand quite a bit in the summer and the smaller sections dont seem to "warp" out of shape.

Strips of conveyor belt works well and should last a long time. I bought the whole thing from a company at the Novi Snow Show. They sell both the slides for skis and the mats for the track. The mats are holding up good it just took twice as many screws to hold them down. They have a guide as to how many are needed and they are probably right, I just couldn’t help it, it looked like it needed more. The mats and conveyor are nice because you can maintain a nearly flat surface. Paddle Grabbers are awesome, but in a large enclosed, they make for a very uneven floor. Which I should mention, the ski guides need to be low profile, otherwise you’ll be tripping over them. The ramp gets interesting and takes a bit of thought, with trial and error, eventually you find something that works. The mats on my ramp have held up, just don’t spin the track and you’ll be fine. If you put the ski guide on the ramp (as I did) you may want to get the gator style for the ramp as when it’s snowing and you go to walk up or down, you’ll find yourself quickly looking at the sky. Don’t ask me how I know; I have coffee burns to prove it. Thought I had some pics but I guess not. All I can say is, you bought a very nice trailer (Legend), don’t cheap out, or short cut now. It took a few weekends, and a few CAD drawings before I finalized my layout. Take your time and do it right. Also, if you happen to use Supper Clamps I have two pretty good designs for the eyelets that have adjustability and one of which will be flush with the rubber mat. P.M. me if you want a pics of anything.

K royal distributing sells mats to cover the whole floor with. My question is how well do carbides slide across rubber?

used bed liners, usually pick them up around here for $20-$30 bucks. enough to do a whole trailer and ramp... just cut it with a table saw in strips...
so far they have lasted two years on my trailer and still look great

The problem with a 29 ft trailer is because if you use it as a drive on drive off, you will constantly be moving the sleds from side to side, which will get tricky and you will be tripping over the guides and mats. But, if you drive on and back off, then there are good ways to setup the trailer with guides and mats.

I have a 24" enclosed and put the plastic slides down for the skis, but I went to the gravel pit and got used conveyor belt to put down for the studs. One side is worn, and the other is new. I asked them if they had any and they told me to back around the building and three of us loaded a roll. Ran two strips down the trailer and had enough to put on my 10 x 10 open trailer

I bought my guides from Superclamp. I installed them in my trailer, and on my ramps. They have great grip built into them , so you will not end up looking at the sky while trying to get into your trailer. I used 20" wide conveyor belt to protect the trailer and ramps were the track runs. Check out the guides here. http://www.superclamp.net/site/news_article.asp?id=23

I have the superclamp mats on my trailer. They work really well. Also have rubber traction mat up the ramp and down the center. Works great. A lot of guys also use old bed liners. You can usually get them damaged for next to nothing but they are extremely slippery.

That floor in there is super durable. 5 years in my Legend with no protection and I run studs in all my sleds. I did do paddle grabbers on the doors. I know its new but you will not care after a year what it looks like inside. I never strapped a sled down either-parking brake only. Its never been a problem. Just my 2 cents.

Isn't it illegal to tow an unsecured sled

I bought the ski glides and track mat right from Becks where I bought my Legend. I have a 27' and haul to long tracks in it so there is no lifting and sliding the back ends over. Work and looks good.

I just bought a new Legend myself. I covered the floor and both doors with 1/4" plywood.

I did the same thing Teamblue did, 1/4" ply over everything in my 7x27 Legend. I am going into my 4th season and the plywood is chewed up a bit, but still in good condition. When I sell the trailer I will remove the ply and have a perfect factory floor underneath. The trailer will look like new.
