Will a nytro xtx fit in a ten foot clam shell enclosed trailer

I have an Nytro XTX and a Trition XT 10' trailer with a Trition Aluminum cap and the XTX fits without any issues. However the only reason it fits is because of the Triton cap's design. The Triton caps are curved outward from the front of the trailer deck allowing the skis to move farther forward. Alot of other clamshells go straight up from the deck and an XTX cannot fit. I had this exact same question this time last year before I purchased my new trailer. It fits perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Just for reference the Triton XT 10' With a white aluminum cap brand new in Minnesota was $3000.00 plus tax last September.

If you go with a drive-on/drive-off style, you will not be able to "drive-off" as you won't be able to raise the front of the trailer. The skis will prevent the bottom from raising up, that's how tight it is. If you don't ever plan on going longer, or changing brands the 10' will do. The reason they are probably cheaper (other than the obvious material cost) is supply/demand. More people are going with long tracks and it's just too tight for most. If you already have the trailer then no point in getting rid of it. If you are buying one, I would get the 12' option.

About $8,500 fully loaded. They start at $5,900 with only 1 axle and no options.

Why did you go that route instead of a V nose drive in-drive out?

The cost as $4,000 was the price difference. Also I wanted as small (lighter 1250 #s vs. almost 2000 #s) trailer.

I was looking at a Mission trailer, 7.5 x 16, do you think 3 sleds would fit, last one backed in?Most days only two sleds ,a few times a year I would carry three.Same as you ,I do not want to be towing a heavier more expensive trailer if I can avoid it.
