I know there have been alot of posts on this, I have a 06 Vector, but I did see some posts where someone has updated the bushings or whatever they are to a 2008 Vector in the transfer rod, has anyone tested this with success? I know some people put in Rubber from a hardware store but it did not last. Just looking to see if I can make it a little quieter but still last.... Thanks

I didnt use the the 2008 style but I did change out the nylon bushings on mine. I have had several sleds over the years and saved an old track off of one of them. The track was studed so I cut round pieces from the track useing the stud hole. Useing a bench grinder to finish (round), 2 pieces went in the tube (the stud hole helped in removing them from the tube), and 1 piece went on the shaft. I have around 250 miles on this set up and it looks like the day of install. I used a large punch and heated with a torch then slid the 1 piece thru the stud hole and burned the hole to the size of the shaft. It turned out nice and feel this should last. Do what you want but so far I am happy !!
I have seen this issue go round and round, mine does it, and I just live with it. It is rare but yes you can hear it sometimes.

i checked out 2008 parts are the same i think that their is less banging on new sleds due to changes in shock valving and springs, not sure but that is the only changes i know of
