i bought an apex and it pushes hard in the corners, thought i might try adjust the transfer rod shorter for more ski pressure. i had to remove it to adjust it, was siezed. anyway i puled it apart to lubricate the threads and noticed it had a greasy film in it. it the "tube" with the piston in it susposed to be filled with oil or not?
i looked up the maintenace on the transfer rod and it doesnt mention oil.

pretty sure there is no oil in there. they may have used some lube on assembly thats probably good for life of part.
make sure you tighten things good when you put back together. there have been reports of them coming apart and stabbing the track when not tightened ( $500.00 +tax)
And yah it should help in the corners.
