do you need it or not have seen many different opinons on here...also has anyone came up with a rubber stop to put inside of the transfer rod to stop the clunking sound??

I put on 1000 miles with out it , traction and wheelies all winter. FUN . You will need 4th wheel kit in rear and tighten rear spring up a little bit so it dosen't bottom out. Now my 06 yamaha apex gt is a blast to drive.

I have not had my rod in in about 4000 miles... its not going back! love the handling... for off trail, with the simmons on the front i can keep the front up alot easier.

I would think it would be very dangerous for hard trail riding. Every time you accelerate out of a corner, your skis will be in the air and you'll have no control. You'd either have to lift off throttle or pull your sled out of the weeds. Either way, you'll be the slowest sled in your group! LOL

Is it not true that if you remove it on a 121" skid, the suspension can bind?
