Does anybody know how yamaha snowmobiles will be affected by tsunami ? They say US auto industry and alot of other industries are going to be affected. I have to think that most all of the parts are made there. And yes the people are what really matter, just would suck to have a shortage of parts or new sleds. Maybe I should wait to sell.

price of sleds

Are brothers to the north think they pay alot for sleds and parts now, imagine if there was a shortage. Okay I will sell my 07 apex for 1,000.000.00 :hide:

Yamaha Motor Co. has ceased production at its five motorcycles factories and its PWC factory through March 23. The company’s power product factory will not be producing ATVs and golf carts through the 23rd, however generator production continues. Operating plans for March 24 onward will be announced on March 23.

I thought it was just the PWC that were made in georgia?

Sled's are built in Japan. Sounds like about 150mi south of the reactor's. I am Planning on a new sled for next season. Hope it gets here!

As of now the only problem our rep said they are having is logistics. Plants where not affected but shipping and transport is. sleds are built in japan.

March 25-

Some of Yamaha Motor Corp.’s factories have begun producing partially assembled units again. As of Thursday, the Iwata factories that assemble motorcycle engines and finished products, the PWC engine-building factory in Kuramatsu and the ATV factory were all assembling partially complete units from stocked parts. Three factories that manufacture motorcycle parts were completing limited production for overseas parts, and the Fukuroi factory that packages overseas motorcycle parts was operating. Generators were undergoing limited production, and limited golf car production will run Monday through Wednesday. As of Tuesday, production will be suspended again at the Iwata factories and on ATV and PWC engine production. Generator production will continue through Thursday, and a decision is pending for April 1 and beyond.

Make sure you put the rad counter on all those parts coming from there! Hope all works out for all the Japanese people, they make a hell of a sled!
