Hello looking to purchase new tuner skis for my 13 apex OR snow trackers. Read some reviews on the trackers and the only thing I am worried about is if conditions are spotty and you catch some rocks or loading on the enclosed trailer, crossing thru dirt, or crossing roads "without" snow. Is this an issue with the trackers???
Are the tuners the answer and what carbide 4 & 6" any darting? Handling & push in corners???
Thanks

I have the Tuners and are much better looking and handle much better then my old skis with Double Downs! i have 4in per bar and im wanting to go 6in to get more bite soon.they push a little in loose fluffy snow, rail pretty good on hard snow imo.but it also depends on your sled set-up too..i did not get the trackers afraid of catching things (Does Happen) that would suck...

X2, awesome on the hard pack, but a little loose in the soft.... Outside edges ding easy to.

I would ride nothing else but snow trackers on an Apex. They are tough and transform the sled to a machine on rails.
I've had no problems with the Trackers loading on the trailer, crossing through dirt or gravel, or crossing roads.

love my tuners with the dual 6" carbides. no darting at all and really no pushing unless the snow is very loose. Since you have EPS you can load the front with more weight without increasing steering effort. if you're not sure then just try the trackers and go from there. there are a lot of guys out there that like them so i'm sure they might work for you. not sure what the cost difference is compared to the tuners. i bought the tuners with the carbides last year for $200.

I have researched a lot about the trackers. I placed an order then turned around and cancelled it. I read where they are harder on fuel than my stud boy deuces AND lose up to 10 mph on top end on a hard ice packed road wow! don't need that. I then spoke to the rep for snowtrackers. he said if you place the tracker on a table there is only 3/16 clearance from the u shaped metal to the table. I may go with the qualipieces cobras recommended by a Yamaha dealer with some racing experience. IDK seems like many different opinions on carbides on apex.

I run the aggressive trackers, I have not lost any top end and get the same mileage as before I installed them, so where ever you are getting your research from is in error!

forgot to mention but the previous owner of my sled was running the cobras and it still darted way to much for my liking. that's why i went with the tuners, no regrets

I purchased tunners last season and was the best overall improvement for handling on my 2010 LTX (without PS). I would load up on carbides since you have PS. I only run 4 center and 2 out.
Good luck and ride safe!
