Tuner Ski

Have them on the new Nytro I just picked up, it rails great and flat/ no darting at 85 + with all 4" carbides.

Totally different ride than the Phazer is, but pushing/ darting/ ski lift at any speed is something my Phazer always had trouble with.
I'd messed with suspension set ups, ran Curves with 6" shaper bars, SLT with 4" for almost 4 seasons and it never went away. Some say a simple shim under the back of the rubber spacer helps darting??
Thinking now after trying them, that with the tightning of the whole stem (UP bushings) & these skis maybe could've made a difference with it.
Curious to see...........

Did you put your 4" on the outside? I just read something from Yamaha that said you should put the longer carbide on the inside to prevent snow build up.

I put the 4" carbide on the inside and the hard steel runner on the outside, the dealer mechanic reccommended this set up, for riding in my area, also snow tech magazine reccommended this set up to in a test segment on new products,not to aggressive and a easy push for your phazer, it works well. thanks

I put Tuners on my Vector and it made a very noticeable difference. I wouldn't say it eliminated darting but they helped a lot. You should put the more aggressive carbide on the inside because as the ski turns in it also rocks sideways due to spindle caster angle. The outside ski gets more weight transferred to it so it should have the better grip on the inside edge of the ski if you follow me.

I'm looking at putting them on the Phazer first and then the wife's Vector as well.

I did switch them around and notice an improvement. They work very well. The only darting I have now is on a hard parked snow cover road. My Arctic Kitty did the same thing as well.

Funny that Bergstrom Skegs totally bashes it and says its complete garbage! I read their article and I think they should have written it better for the average person, a little hard to decipher WHY it so bad according to them.

Have you looked through his site? He bashes just about everything. Although he might have a lot of experience, I think he's just full of himself. I have a set of his good n' uglys on my Slydogs (which he also bashes) and they've lasted well but need sharpening now.

More than likely, once my Dogs bite the dust or get tired of the darting, I'll probably go with Tuners with a 6" and 4" combo since I have a long track.
