- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
Something to think about for all you guys and girls with the Delta Box I chassis. If you're not happy with the stock Yamaha single keel skis with ANY carbides on them......try a set of Tuners on your DBI chassis.
Before this season I took the Tuners (version 1?) off of my 14 Vector LTX and put them on my 05 Vector ES. Now, I have revalved the front shocks to fit my riding style and also have a M10 on the 05 Vec.
Couple of weeks ago while my 14 was in the shop getting the starter fixed I had to ride the 05. First ride where I had to put serious miles on it. OMG!!!....it handled like it was on rails! Fresh groomed hard trails.....railed! Loose groomed trails.....railed! Bumped up...railed!
My friend commented that he never seen me ride so fast! He's a motorcycle guy and he said he was "left braking it" for the first time ever riding with me.
I wish I could get my 14 Vec to handle like this!
It is work in progress though!
Tuners can be had fairly cheap.....give 'em a try on your DBI chassis!

The skis off of my 2005 Vector w/6" Woodys Doolies. I need more bite on the 14. Either my pulling down the strap more or more aggressive skis. I need to get the 14 to turn as well as my 05 does now.

I have 14 vector LTX cant get it to turn like my 08 vector in most conditions.......thinking of trying semi snow trackers next. My sled is just harder to steer than I like , 4 strokeluvr how's your power steering with woodys doolies on.

Snow trackers are the ticket IMO. Expensive and don't last as long as i think they should for the price but they work. Put Doolies on for one ride took them off they push to much i think. Bought the Tuners sold them a month later.

The power steering is fine. No matter how much weight I transfer to the front end, the EPS handles it without issue. My sled isn't hard to steer at all......it just doesn't turn as crisply as my 05 does.
