hey everybody,
it took a while but i finally got registered ;)!. i've got a stock 08 apex ltx gt and i'm starting to do some work on it. i bought a slp cold air intake, rb3, polar atac 4 ramp clutch, 1 inch hacksaw track, 200 1.075 studs and i'm trying to buy a full excell exhaust system.

we got 119.1 on radar last spring in 2000' and 134mph on the speedo, haha. when they say yamaha speedo's are out they really mean it. i've bought this stuff hoping i can get better gas mileage when trail riding and more speed when radar running. i'm thinking with the new add on's i should get another 10 mph out of the sled. they say the track will give me 3-5mph, the clutch i figure should give me another 3-5mph, the cold air intake my buddy said gave him a consistent 3 mph and the rb3 should give me more power i just don't know about the speed. that's how i came up with 10mph.

what i wanted to know guys is what i have to adjust on my map from the rb3 with these add on's? i have a can am 800 with a pcv. when i got the stock maps from dyno jet they worked ok, but when i got a custom tuned map from a guy the bike totally woke up. i really want to know if i have to add fuel and how much? if i'm putting more cold air i think i need more fuel. if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate any help.

Get your full exhaust from Alan Ulmer (he's biz partners with Excell and sell their stuff) and Alan will set you up with maps for your mods. He's hooked me up with maps for my power commander and they've been spot on.

Kuvasz, I would talk to Dave Marshall at Hurricane Perf...he deals with Rapid Bike 3, you can also check the RB3/PC forum for a map that may already exist for your mods.

A wide band o2 will help with tuning.
If your just looking for mph make a small change to your map and see what it runs.
If it goes slower make a change in the other direction.
Its going to take time to build a good map.

I've got a couple maps I was given last year from a member and they work pretty well for me. One is for 87 octane and one is for premium fuel. I can email them to you if you like... just send me a pm with your email...

thx for the help guys. i've got a couple of new maps to try out and now i just have to wait for it to snow :letsnow:. my buddies are headin to cochrane after xmas and asked me to go but i'll see if i get the sled completely finished.
everybody have a merry christmas and happy new year!
