Tunnel protection for Venture GT

Anyone added tunnel protection on Venture GT? On my 09 The dealer didn't add protection and studs damaged exhaust sysyem. My 2012 also came without protection dealer is addding protection but not much room. Any experience or info appreciated.

I added mine on my 09 after 500ks , there was just a little scratch in the pipes , my Sled mechanic did it , they took some time to get in and were expensive , glad I have them now

I have an 09 but never studded just because of that fact. There is a kit available but pricey.

I have been running Bergstrom Screws in the track tips and have zero damage.... I just have them for icy conditions to keep the track more planted in corners... they work well.

my 05 didnt either.. dealer told me none of the ventures come with protectors due to most riders buying this model dont pick. i was like what?

WHoa. Glad I say this post. Newbie here. I bought an '07 Venture last March and was going to have the track picked next month. So some of you guys are saying dont do it unless you get these shieds? WHat does that cost?

The protector Kit for the Venture is sma-8et21-50-01 and that will take care of the Ventures from 05 to 07 for $127 retail.

that is the kit I used... pretty easy to install. i would recommend a air rivet gun to make it easier. the rivets supplied where a bear.

Just to be clear as I am new to this all and have purchased a 2006 Venture RST 90L and everyone says to install picks, I do need this protection kit listed above?

Yes, you need protectors to stud a 4 stroke venture.

05-11 RS Venture uses those SMA-8ET21-50-01 and the 09 to current Fuel Injected Venture GT doesn't have anything offered for them and is different due to the new exhaust design.

Would you have a part number for a 2004 rx warrior?? And also, is this all I would need for adding a studded track?? Thanks in advance!!!
