When trying to use the link in faq it didn't work so here goes. To add the rear cat tunnel protectors do you have to drop the skid or anything like that in order to do the install or is it just a quick easy install? Thanks.

When I did mine the rear skid was out because I was doing a track swap at the same time. If I remember correctly they can be installed with the skid in. One thing that will make the install easier is you have three bolts that go in at the end of the three protectors to hold them so they don't slide forward. They are kind of self tapping even though there are holes for them. What I did was I installed the bolts while the protectors were out and screwed them in and out a few times so when the protectors were installed on the sled the bolts were very easy to screw in.

If I remember right the protectors are glued on?
Yes but there is a bolt at the end of each protector that you install after gluing them on. All the bolt does is keep the protectors from sliding forward if the glue fails.

Do they go into a track like they do on a ski Doo or are they just surface mount?

They slide in a track from the front of the tunnel back. Then you install the bolt and slide it forward till the bolt stops it from sliding forward. Then you just wait till the glue cures and you are good to go. Its not that difficult. I think Rockerdan has it posted in his build thread.

they are rear heat exchanger protectors....the tunnel protection is the coolant runners there from the factory...fyi there are aftermarket tunnel protector "add ons" which increase the protection and some also take the place of the rear heat exchanger
