Noticed there is a metallic rattle from the heat shield area over the turbo. Only occurs at lower speeds and when the engine is under some load. It will not create it stationary on a stand.
Removed heat shield and noise went away. Re installed it and it was there again.
Anyone have a similar issue? and what did you do to fix it?
Is there more to positioning the turbo heat shield, there are quite long slots where the T30 bolts go.

BTW - its definitely not the clutches or pto stub shaft rattle.
And its not the drive shaft, bearing or rotor.
This sled was fairly tight last season, but then this showed up so it has my head scratching. Clearly must be something I have had apart.

I used high temp silicone on the washers, between washer and heat shield, it's worked for the last three hundred miles. the I washers don't grip or pinch the heat shield. Good luck.

On the 18's and newer, they did away with having that washing on the inside of the heat shield.
I have run it with the panel off, and put pressure on the heat shield with the wood stove glove on, still couldn't get it to stop. My best guess is its coming from the turbo heat shield where it wraps around the turbo. There must be contact somewhere.
