Turbo Nytro wont fire after install

my guess is your plugs are fouled out..... when your timeing was off(which happened to me) we cranked on the thing hoping it would start for maybe 30 min before figureing out what was wrong, well in doing so you foul your plugs. Check them.. and change.

Double check your RB3 connection, I've seen it twice where the heat shrink tubing that is on the connector stops it from fully seating and causes an erratic start or no start at all. you can slid it back or trim some off so it does not contact the module when you plug it in. Sounds silly but caused me a few hours of headscratching.

Get yourself a new engine, from what I have heard this engines doesnt run correct with bent valves, destroyed camshaft and pistons :drink:

The birds are singing pip pip pip...

obr - how's it going, if we ever get snow this winter we have to meet up riding together. I'm on the penultimate lap, the sled is almost done. I have no snow to test on, man it's +7C outside grrrrrr :-(

Well, I had to get a new motor for it.... :o|

Sled is now running...The owner has been out with it a couple of times and saying it runs like it's supposed to now...Will get it clutched correctly as soon as we get the flyweights...Hope to get it tested against a MCX to see how the verdict will be... I'm really glad to have it back together, and would not hesitate to get another Powderlites turbo...

Bull

Now you have to tell us buddy what was wrong, at least in a PM LOL

hehe, it's no big secret...

timing was off...bent valves, and the pistons had hit the valves, so they were damadged, and, finally, the cam seats (?) had some scratces, so the head was garbage...installed a complete engine, and everybodys happy now...

Expencive lesson learned.....

Yeah I know, it's a lesson learned. Always rotate the engine over a few revolutions with your bare hands to check...... you know what :-(

I did that, but still it was off...still not sure how the H3LL I was able to get it wrong, but... :o|

After all is paid, I know I'll never get it wrong again, for sure...LOL

Sorry for your loss buddy.
I hope we can ride together someday soon. Any snow on your side of the mountains?

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully a few good pulls with everything working right will make it all seem worthwhile :flag:

Well, I did the install for free for the guy....So it was a pretty big loss for me when things turned out the way it did....But, that's how it is buildig turbo's...

Hopefully my own SC'd RX will be spot on....

Not much snow here yet...got a couple of CM today, but still not much...I'll be in Joatka tomorrow with some relatives, ad I'll bring my RX, so I won't be able to start the supercharger install until over the weekend..and next weekend we have the races going on in Tana, but the weekend after I think I'm free to go riding..might even have the sled done and your's dialed in by then? I won't be driving by your house for 4 weeks probably, but I'll definatly stop by when I'm passing through....
