I would like to know if you can use a turbo off of a small car, like a Eagle Talon? If you could reprogram it, or something along those lines. What turbos do turbo companies use? The turbo will be used for our Apex GT. :4STroke:

I think you are better off buying a kit, you have no idea how much work the guys put into designing these units, they arent a bolt on and play deal. I would suggest a supercharger.
If you do it yourself without having YEARS of knowledge on the subject, you are going to waste a lot of time, money, and maybe an engine. If you know your chit, all the power in the world to you, but by your question about boost# on my car blower, I would assume not.

I hope that didnt come off as rude, ignorant or obnoxious. Not my intention. I dont have, will never have the know how on building such a thing, many people do. Maybe you are one of these guys, all the best of luck to you.

Like KbxSrx said this is not something for the average guy to just go and build a turbo system. There's too many things to figure out and trial and error is expensive. The fuel system is real important to get right or your gonna start replacing real spendy parts that take lots of work to get to. If there's any way you can afford to buy a factory kit do it, Ken.

Snow Fever built his own turbo system a couple of years ago. Do a search on his user name and do some reading. It was no small feat (he is a very talented guy) and the APEX will be more complex with the fuel delivery system. I say, if you have the time, talent and knowledge, go for it!

;)!
