If your going to run coolant lines, off the thermostat housing to the turbo then back the oil cooler, there is a line there from yamaha now, just will have to lenghten it, water cooled turbos live 3 times longer with the center housing be cooled with coolant also.
not sure how i ended up with this post, was added to skydog post on his bender turbo,
somedays computers and me

I use the line for the carbs or throttle bodies.

Turbo coolant lines
I take hose off going out of oil cooler to themastat housingand go to outside turbo and back to thermastat housing.
Small lines cause center section on turbo to boil and push coolant out overflow.
Idle down sled for a while before ever turning it off.

This way works best for me too . My sled ran hot when it was ran from the thermostat housing.

I assume these are front mount systems ? Any benefit or need in a rear mount as I see my turbo has provisions for the water cooling ?

- Which one? I have 6
Has anyone done cooling for a rear mount unit? I have passed the 10,000 mile mark on mine and would like to send my unit out end of the season to freshen it up. Would be nice to do this mode for next season.

Hi. The coolant line is attached to the bottom of the throttle bodies. Under the air exchanger. Take this line off, and run to your turbo. Return the line from the turbo to the throttle bodies. Hope this helps.

Is the line on the bottom right of the throttle bodies a supply or return anyone know? Coming or going!!

Like dave said, the coolant of the carbs didnt work for me, and the line of the thermostat to oil cooler is very close the same size. But if it works for you, go for it, where ever you get the coolant supply for the turbo.

The line on the bottom of the throttle bodies is a return. When I installed my kit from CPR, Jeff instructed me to use this line.

I use the line coming out of the top coolant pipe.
