Turbo Warrior video my buddy threw together

Great video - Now I want you to build one for me as well, too sad I'm overseas.

ted have you used a supercharger for ice drag racing on a sled . didn't know if one or the other would be faster for 660- 750 ' for this . i see your turbo sled ran exel what do you perfer turbo or super charger :o|

No but I raced a few, and it is no contest, the turbo is faster.

Maybe it's because you haven't run across a ThunderCharger supercharged sled yet? Something that can make 20+#'s boost. Its to bad we are on the opposite sides of the country, sounds like we have alot in common. We mostly build big hp mountain sleds but I would like to build a drag sled next. Too busy to do it right now, but it's something to think about!! :yam:

Was looking forward to checking out a thunder charger at The Big Iron shootout but didn't see one. Hopefully next year!

NO! It is because of simple physics, a Turbo charger makes more hp per pound of boost Period.

I realize your trying to promote your products which are nice by the way but lets stick to reality here.

20 lb. of boost with a turbo will make more power than 22 psi boost with a supercharger.

Isn't there a little more to it than that Ted ??? Correct me if I'm wrong here but you have stated (turbo vs turbo), and I quote: "Having 20 psi of boost does NOT mean you are faster, I already proved that, I beat guys with 24 psi boost easily". Since your running 12-14 pounds that would tell me that system design and overall setup (tuner) is more of a factor than 1-2 pounds of boost on paper.

I was taking about physics and all things being equal, turbo will make more power than a supercharger due to parasitic losses turning the blower.

Ted, sorry I did'nt want to turn this into a turbo vs supercharger thing, but LBW asked if a supercharged sled was faster or not in 660 to 750 ft race. You said it was no contest. I'm sure it would be alot closer than that if you ran up against a 14# supercharged sled. But running an 10# boosted supercharged sled (which was all that was out there at the time) against a 14# turbo is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. All other things being equal. Besides if everyone had turbos this forum would'nt be nearly as much fun. :flag: :flag: :flag:

NO offense taken, :-o I just deal in the facts.
All things being equal a turbo will make more power at the same boost level regardless.

And It has nothing to do with who I ran, Just Simple Physics.

Just trying to answer the questions as acurately as possible.

i almost hate to ask this... why is top fuel drag cars blown not turbo..???

if turbo made more power they would use turbo's

just my 0.02 cents
