Turbo

Havent heard about anyone getting this sled with turbo clutched right yet.. Spoke with a guy that have had his sled at mcx and they also did the clutching. Engagement was aprox 6000rpm, no turbolag to complain about but he was over rewing. I would really like to here about a set up that really works, anyone....?

Teerex: I dont think a hole in your muffler will fix your problem. How is your sled working on flat land, do you have to low rpm here to?

I didn't watch the tachometer last time when I had 165 kph. But I will try to do that on sunday. But I don't think it was 11,500 rpm's. And that is good cause I don't like to overrev.

My engagement is way to early, but it is nice for slow driving around and taking it cool :tg:

A hole in the muffler will ofcourse reduce the resistance a lot. Now The exhaust has to go a full 360 degrees in the muffler before it is allowed to exit...
Where is the people here that made holes in their mufflers and welded on a pipe ? They reported a significant increase in rpm's.

We used a different primary cover (long spring), different primary spring, Super Tip weights, and a different helix and spring in the stock secondary and it worked great. Engagement was about 5000 rpm, no lag, and very quick backshifting!

I never ran mine with the MCX muffler, just a 3" resonating tip. I am running 04 RX1 weights loaded and still hit the rev limiter, but it's close on weight. I haven't started to change it, just threw in some heavy weights I had in the shop. Next year project I guess

Was this with the mcx kit? Also, do you have this clutch kit for sale and how much do you ask for it?

Yes that is correct... I have another one taken yesterday. Not a Yamaha but still great

Note the yellow marking in the snow before he was going off...

Wow, i have to go to Riksgränsen some day!
Only a 1500km one way drive. But i think it will be worth it!!

Dont eat yellow snow :drink:

I realize this is a little late but I was the guy racing Phazerboost with my 800 Doo.I could get him out of the hole but if we did a roll on at 20-30 mph he could get me as well as the M7 at 2500 ft but at 5600 ft at the BIS he hadtwin piped M7's by a lot. I dont think an M7 or my Summit will do 80mph as we have big tracks 159+162.

I don't know who you guys are racing but I can out top end an M7 and 800 Doo. That's with stock mountain gearing which is 17/41 and 8 tooth drivers. Both of those sleds have 140+ horsepower and are at least 100 pounds lighter than an Apex. As far as a 600 Doo, I would race one for pinks any day any where.

My STOCK GEARED mountain lite turbo will only run 78 mph on top , how is yours so fast !!!!

I CALL BS !!!!!!!!!!!

PS MY sled went from 11300 rpm to 12200 on the rev limiter as soon as I did the muffler( 2 X 2 IN pipes straight out the back JAN 15 th ) , still will not go that fast(ONLY 78 MPH ) with STOCK MTN GEAR!

Teerex those are some sweeeet pics.
