I will go out on a limb and say that there will be a Factory Vector turbo for '06. 
I saw it being tested in Cooke City, MT but, I could be wrong about what year it will come.

There WILL be a factory turbo for '06.
Our Yamaha rep says yes on the turbo, but no one will know when till Yamaha says so!
They don't like to let the cat out of the bag so to say, I say a factory Yamaha Turbo will put those cats back in the bag!

I would not be surprised to see a Factory Turbo RX-1, bit it won't be a turbo on the 4 Cylinder RX-1 motor!!
Think three cylinder turbo putting out 175 - 180 hp stock. It would be lighter and have plenty of power compared to the 4 cylinder.

If Yamaha produces a turbo from the factory, I predict it will be a low pressure (<10psi) boost, or maybe variable with the boost controlled by the engine computer. This would be to discourage the "tuners" who almost assuredly would tweak it to destruction and then complain to Yamaha that " it broke"!! JMHO and years of being a Yammie watcher. RR
