I've been talking to MrSled recently about the possibility of having a TY Vintage Sled Run this winter. We're just checking to see if anyone else is interested in running your vintage Yamaha in a TY ride.

I would give it a go next season.
I'm getting 2 -79 Exciter's from Northernsledder at the end of the month and would have 1 of them reworked hopefully by next season
Sounds like it would be a good time as long as the trails are smooth, not much suspension on a 35 year old sled.
We are spoiled with the Great rides that the new sleds have!

Personally, I think this sounds awesome! I just went through the carb rack for my Vmax4...Hmmm! Where are you guys thinking of putting this ride together at? I have two trips nailed down for January. It wouldn't take much to throw my Vmax in the trailer.

Agman, I have you covered; I'll bring my son's '79 Elan for you to ride. It even has a Lake Effect riser.

Joe wish I had my old mercury snowtwister.Personally, I think this sounds awesome! I did just go completely through the carb rack for my Vmax4...Hmmm! Where are you guys thinking of putting this ride together at? I have two trips trips nailed down for January already. It wouldn't take much to throw my Vmax in the trailer.

Which part is vintage? The rider or the sled?

Great idea for a vintage ride, wish I had one. Just think how good those oldies are when compared with to a new sled.
No starter gear to break
No need to dial in the suspension
No trihub to break
No air/oil separater to freeze
No starter relay to freeze
No weak rods
No need to redo the clutch
No need for dampers
No leaking chain cases
No reverse actuator to fail
No coolant hose clamps loosing up
No need to re valve the shocks
No need to buy extra storage bags
No need for gauges
No need for a re flash
Those were the simple days
