So I have been looking at a clutch kit for a while now for my 2010 nytro 121" I have the back country 1.75 track and was looking at the ulmer racing clutch kit for a while now. My main interest is the clutch kit but looking today on ulmer site under nytro I don't even see clutch kits anymore? Would anyone know an alternative route? Not sure what to do considering I haven't gotten emails back from them and iv sent 2-3. I have read the other convos about Schmidt bros and other brands but to take a more expensive route I'd rather not. I was really hoping to get a ulmer kit but not sure what's going on I don't want to order something when I haven't gotten a response back. Main concern was people say they will ask my weight and riding type ect, just want a clear view of what I'm buying before I place a order.

Interested to see what's out there, I have a friend that's looking for some tungsten inserts to go with his supertip clutch kit.
Haven't been able to find them to be able to tune his kit.

they are really busy this time of year and don't have a great deal of help to answer calls and emails. I would call them instead of emailing.
I have their kit and can tell you that they will ask about your weight, riding style, sled mods, etc. so that they can set up the clutch weights as close as possible before the kit goes in your clutch. I love mine and love the easy tune-ability they offer. for the money I think this is the best kit you can get.

I just put a Schmidt bros stage 2 in my nytro and yes they are bit more money but when I called they answered right away and they were super nice and they said they could set it up prefect for my weight and riding style. The best part was form the time I ordered the kit it was at my front door within a week. Great guys over there!

I have ulmers kit in mine, helped a buddy tune his ( from another vendor ) that did not come with any extra hardware. now I have another buddy that needs hardware to tune his kit. I don't have any tungsten inserts left so he needs 3 to get his where it should be.
Any help appreciated

I see you are in Ontario. I have the Ulmer kit, and it works great, but try giving Dave at Hurricane performance a call. He should be able to hook you up, and then youre not dealing with cross border shipping.

Nothing against schmidt bros, but before my nytro was boosted, my brother had the stage 2 schmidt bros on his sled, I had ulmers clutching, everything else the same except im about 40 lbs heavier. I would get him by a few sled lengths every time. I dont like that low engagement spring. Low is slow! lol

Alright I will try phoning hurricane. its been id say a month now and I haven't got a email back from Ulmer. I understand busy times and getting tied up.

another thing I am interested in is a pc5.. I have read threads about them and theres obviously mixed emotions as I see for it being stupid to not just turbo my sled... but on the other hand I don't have 6 grand to dump on a good turbo kit.. $400 PC5 is affordable if its a noticeable difference. and K&N filter kit?

I bought a pc5, full excel, Ulmer helix & ramps, and k&n filter as a used package here a couple years ago. Cant say I am dissapointed. I am of the opinion all is required to make a real difference. I was looking at the build sheet today and just realized it is set up for 170lb rider so I guess it will need some tweaking as I am 210lbs. I am guessing maybe different springs, spring setting and or weights to tweak it a little.
