i have the ulmer stage 2 clutch kit and it's awesome, i've been seeing alot about the fix power sports clutch kit, is it any better, has anyone tested it againist ulmer's or anyone elses, the fix kit is expense but is it any better?

ulmer is great but i have not tried it. the good thing about fix is that they use oem weights and helix, and such a huge gain with tese parts, i have fix and love it. but you now we always want more so i will try it with heavy hitters weights, just for fun

i've had good luck with the super tips with the ulmer kit, it just seems like alot of $$$ for the fix kit and then you have to go to a dealer to them use the grunt tool, after adding it all up how much gain if any over the ulmer kit?

I honestly dont think its about whos is better, that topic could go on forever, I dont know alot about clutching, I have a Hauck #3 on my 07 RTX ER I spring checked my sled with Pat Hauck and he set it all up for me I have 500 miles on it and love it, have had not one problem I see alot of Hauck bashing on this site but He has done real good by me and fullfilled every promise, I see it like this when CLUTCHING is the question. The next question is, What are you trying to achieve? When these three guys (Fix, Ulmer, Hauck) line up on Grass to do there 660 ft race you can bet its not just the clutching they mess with. Any products bought from the two guys you refer to is going to be some of the best stuff you can get your hands on when it comes to 4 stroke tech.
Just know this, when the three are racing each other it comes down to 100ths of a second.
my 3 cents

Hey Guys im not sure on if the ulmer kit is better or not,a buddy of mine is installing the kit on tueday so we will line my Fix power sports kit uo against ulmers and i will let yas know,as ive stated in previous post i have tried the other popular brand rymes with walton LOL and i far like the Fix kit better just for the belt life its worth it .. IMO

they all will be very close in the end i guarantee it...Dalton components in Toms sled was just about same as FIx kit, however no cutting of primary with FIx thoery...which toms likes alot, belts wear nicely..

I tend to like Dalton components(proline) cause the DPYrs use factory yammie rivets for adjustment and Dalton components are the best in biz...period.

IMO the FIX kit is very expensive for what you get in comparison to other "kits".

however, you 'PAY' for SPEED,not parts .....so If you pay for speed, then they all work well...FIx i beleive is 499us...not cheap!..

If I knew then what I know now,id buy components and build kit from scratch, and save alot!..LOL.

Just looked at a different site then ulmers. ST weights 235, helix 119. so you are at 354 with no springs, and you set them up yourself. So it seems like a deal to me. Plus once you get them, you have Allen and family to help fine tune them. I may have even myself sold yet. Maxdlx

Any updates on this Tom?

i have to add that i dont have a clutch kit. and these kits are apparently close ,but from the way ive seen ulmer handle all the questions from clientel, i know i will be buying ulmer stage II. just for the customer service.

I wish I had other Apex's inmy area. I love my Bender kit, but I can't vouch for anything else. My clutch kit runs very smooth and seems to add alot of midrange pull. I'm not exremely knowledgeable when it comes to clutching, but I think I will try messing with my setup next season. I feel pretty confident that if I take the time to change weights, wraps, and springs, I'll have a great handle on what to do to achieve certain results. Until I can do that, I guess I'll just bench race with all you guys!!
