I would look at rebuilding your clutch. It is not acting correctly from what you are saying. You are saying you are redlining one day and underreving the next.

If you are unreving, and you have removed all the weights from the primary, the only thing you can do is increase your secondary spring preload. Increase from 3-6 (90 degrees) to 1, 2, or 3 - 9 (100,110, and 120). That should drop down your revs a bit and help with backshifting.

For overrevving, (redline), drop your preload back to 1-6 (which I believe it should be from Ulmer kits), and start adding weights to the primary.
