I am cutting and pasting this letter below from Brenten & his Mom (just a kid that probably none of us will ever meet) because folks..YOUNG & OLD...CANADIAN OR AMERICAN......NEW SLEDDERS & EXPERIENCED SLEDDERS...MTN SLEDDERS OR FLATLANDERS.....DOO RIDERS...POO RIDERS....CAT RIDERS & YOU YAMMI GUYS AND GIRLS........New sleds...Old Sleds......Mod sleds....Snowchecks or not.......it doesn't really matter because this is what its all about. I want you all to remember this.....
"EVERY DAY ABOVE GROUND IS A GREAT DAY"....
SO....... NO MATTER HOW BAD YOUR FEELING........OR THINKING WHAT A CRAPPY DAY I AM HAVING ...........JUST READ THIS AND YOU WILL SEE THAT YOUR DAY CAN'T NEARLY BE ALL THAT BAD.....
This is Brenten Spellbring, now a Snowest forum member, and I am telling my mom what to write to everyone who gave me the snowmobile. I just wanted to thank you for the things youve done the snowmobilie, cards, letters, t-shirts, hats etc and to have my parents read me what youve written and all the prayers youve done have helped me to get through lots of bad stuff that is hard to get through and I really like what youve done and I love my snowmobile and have gotten to ride it once already and today I got out of the hospital after a very hard long week and I asked the doctor when I could go snowmobiling again. I have to wait until the side effects wear off so I am very excited to go again. Thanks also to the band 13th step for the cd I listen to it alot even though my mom wishes I would turn it down a little and I put the stickers on every car at my house the day I got them. I also watch my snowmobile dvd all the time and even tried to do a heel clicker when I took my sled out.....I also hope that the man who is in the hospital (marty) is doing better because it is not fun to be in the hospital so get better soon and thanks for being a part of giving me my sled! I wear my t-shirt from the girl that sent it to me and that her dad washed the girl cooties off and it is safe and I like it. I especially like the t-shirt that says I ate my broccoli, I took out the trash, I cleaned my room, so NOW I can ride my mini z, I wear it every night!!! I thank you all very much for everything you did and especially my sled it makes me excited to think about riding it. All your prayers are helping me!
Ok, I think he would go on for another 30 minutes but my hands are getting tired trying to keep up. Now from his family, we want to let everyone know how much your generosity and kindness has touched our hearts and made a very difficult time a little easier. It was such a blessing to see what a group of people were willing to do that dont even know us. It brought tears to our eyes as we read through the forum and then overwhelming gratitude when we saw what it did for Brenten when he got his snowmobile and especially when he was able to get out and ride it. There are no words to express our gratitude and thanks for what all of you did but know that you made a huge difference not only in Brenten and his family's lives but to everyone who has read and watched what so many kind hearted generous people have come together to do for a sick little boy. We just returned from a very tough week in the hospital this week and Brenten was very sick from the chemo and side effects he experienced but his last question to the doctor when we left was when he could go snowmobiling again, so as you can see this definitely gives him something to look forward to and be excited about. Thanks so much for everything you have done and we truly hope we will be able to have a tenth of the impact on someone else's life that you all have had on ours!!!!
Brenten really thinks it is cool that he is now a member of the snowest "group" so if anyone would like to write back to him, I will read it to him and let him "dictate" his response.
Again, thank you all so very much from the bottom of our hearts!!!!Thanks for all the hard work in coordinating and organizing the mini z, the delivery, and the many words of encouragement and prayers!!
Love the Spellbring family.
There is a thread on Snowest that will explain it better than I can, I just thought I would bring it to your attention over here!

Hey guy's I just read through all those posts out on Snowest and I really think this is a worthwhile cause the responses that are out there are heartwrenching. I think it would be a great idea for those of us with an extra buck or two to help out the cause. If Mr Sled could start a fund and and manage the whole thing it would be great
We all save at least $10 a week in gas alone with this sled, let's throw that money where it will mean something. Mr Sled you OK with that? :?:

Thanks Convert,
I have been reading this site since it first went up, long before the major crash.
However, I do not have many posts here so, It helps greatly when someone with credibility on this site steps up.
I want to personaly thank you.
I do not know this family or the little boy involved, I am just tring to help.
Thanks again,
Doug

This is a worthy cause.
I have three kids myself and can't imagine the the pain of this family.
I have $100 to go to the cause. I hope the rest of you will do the same.
What's $100 to us? I can tell you it means the world to this poor kid.
Step up to the plate.

Thanks TurboSmurf I'll match that but I don't think it will be necessary last check they had about a grand already and the Z was only about 1900 pledges are coming in like crazy Skoka1 can you keep us informed I'm sure we can cover it I know the people out here they have big hearts. Somehow though I think before we put it all together the sled will be paid for.

I contacted Summit141@cs.com who is organizing the whole thing from SnoWest. I told him that I would donate money and he told me that once everything was confirmed and the family was allset with the donations he would let me know.....

There is now a new post with info on how to give a donation either by paypal or by sending a check. Here is the address on SnoWest, http://snowest.com/fusetalk/messageview ... did=116514
It looks like this boy will be very happy with all the responses from sledders. Makes me proud to see so many people stepping up to help out... I hope everyone on this site takes a moment and checks out the post on SnoWest.com it is something that you will never forget and make sure you have a Kleenex handy. I consider myself a very emotionally strong person but this post touched my heart like nothing else has ever...... I donated $20 and am sending it out tomorrow....

As much as we bash the other brands this goes to show you all sledders are part of the same brotherhood. Thanks for the update skoka1 putting a smile on a very sick little boys face is something everyone can be happy about
God bless him and his family all that we can do now is pray for his full recovery.

There is a money order on the way right now, I read the post to my kids, and they dumped their piggy banks. I still have a lump in my throat. This hits close to home, My Grandmother, Mother, and Sister have all had cancer.
