I finally received a 151 ZX-2 for my 03 RX-1 Mnt. I noticed that the longest skid install to date posted is the 136. I'll start tomorow and post pics when completed. After reading about all the retorq issues I think I check the bolts that I didn't install for proper torq specs. Ditchbanger you get yours yet?

I've got a 144" and love it. I am having the same issues as everyone else though. It might be a little easier to remove every bolt while the skid is out and loktite the bejesus out of everything before it gets installed. Take care of the final four bolts during installation.

I removed all factory installed bolts and applied locktite. Prior to removal I checked the torq values and all where at 50 ft/lbs +/-. I'm missing a aluminum reinforcement shaft for the 151 extension kit, it's being sent. Here's a couple of pic's of the old proaction weighed on a bathroom digital scale. (note I was missing the mounting harware/ brackets and a couple of wheels on the old skid when I weighed it. 75.5 lbs ZX-2 with everything except the mounting plates 58.5 lbs equals a 17 pound difference.

Well missing a couple of parts so I'll have to wait to get the skid in but I had to check out what it looks like sitting under the tunnel.
I received the 121 adaptor kit instruction manual so I emailed jeff this picture for some direction.
I waited this long whats a couple of more days.

No way should the mount plate extend below the tunnel like that. That would not hold up to any riding. On everyone else's mount kit, the rear of the plate is swung up and hits the top of the tunnel and then holes are drilled and riveted.
Remove the plate from the tunnel and bolt it to the suspension. That way you'll see what are the proper mount holes. The distance between the front mount hole and rear mount hole is very close to 17 1/2 inches.
I hope you didn't get the wrong mount kit like I did.

I lined up the plate and it will line up with the front stock hole. I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do with the two holes near the front. I didn't receive any bolts for these. The manual I have shows a 121 plate and it's nothing like the one I have.
I spoke with Max at ADBoivin on Thursday and he said the rear plate will mount below the tunnel.

Installed the 151 took it for a 15km test ride. Everything feels fine I took it easy. I plan on giving it a good test tomorrow during daylight hours. I changed a couple of things (Apex seat/ rider forward mod) this summer so it's going to take some time getting used to. The install went fairly easy once I got a little direction from Jeff. I broke two rivet guns putting the rivets in. I rented a heavy-duty rivet gun to finish the job and ordered a pneumatic rivet gun for future use. Skid set at 4 preload and 2 and 4 revolver. Re-applied red locktite to all bolts and retorqed prior to install. The 151 is a one shock version. Kind of sad I pay more and get one less shock.
Posted this for fun whats left of the proaction. If any one needs anything from it let me know. 9000+ km on it I hope to get a least that on the ZX-2

I moved some photos around in my Photobucket site so it messed up the links here's the photos from earlier.
The answer are these the skid mounting holes yes. The front swing arm uses the stock front hole and rear arm goes in the hole that sits just below the tunnel. I re-used stock bolts and nuts from my old skid for the three rear mounting bolts. I can't remeber which bolts I used but I found the shortest ones. I never received a 151 RX-1 mounting manual so it took some time but I made it work. Over 1000 KM's now no problems at all. PM me If you have any questions or just post here I check both.
I also removed all the factory bolts and re-applied locktite and re-torq to 50 ft/lbs. I also drew a line with a marker from the bolt to the bushing to the skid. I used this for a quick reference check on the trail as alot of guys seemed to be having trouble with bolts backing out. This has worked so far and upon rechecking torq specs nothings moved.
