updates through the years

looking at picking up my first nytro and was wondering what updates did yamaha do throu the years on them. Which years are better than others?

2013 and 14, tuner skis, back country track, extra tunnel heat exchanger, seperate handlebar heater controller on brake side. Updated chaincase bolt that holds gear on the driveshaft after 2009.
Subframe changes after 2008.

So I have my 08 apart changing a track. Should I get the updated bolt or just loctite the bolt in?

I would update the bolt and locktight it.. Also change all the bearing and seals while you have it apart.

The update was a longer driveshaft that solved the breaking bolt problem.

You need to effectively make the end of the driveshaft 4.7-5.0mm longer. I used 3 washers to come up with that length.

Ah didn't know that. Makes sense hence why they shortened the bolt.

With the stock 2008 bolt for the 2008 sled? I have ordered the 09 bolt but unsure which you were referring to use.
