I'm upgrading '03 RX-1's stock front end to the pioneer performance 45" widening kit, which includes 2.3 springs, longer links, and 12mm sway bar. I keep reading that the stock skis suck, and was wondering if I should upgrade them and if so, whats recommended? I ride mostly trails, and half are groomed.

If you want max bite in the turns then stick with a center runner ski like C&A (not the sport) or USI Projects. If you want to minimize darting and are willing to put up with some pushing in loose conditions then go with a dual runner ski like the Simmons Flexi.

I have USI Project VX-301s and really like them. They typically sell on Ebay for $260 complete (skis, mounts & 6" carbides).

NY_Warrior is spot on. I have Simmons on both my 03 and 05 RX-1's. The only other thing I will add is that the Simmons extend the ski stance because the skis are wider, so it helps reduce the tippyness.

Try on search on skis, Simmons, and C&A. There are lots of threads on this topic.

which Skis

Simmons make little alum piece called a snow fins that bolts on to the skis.
If you go with Simmons get the fins. They kick snow on to your hyfax and on the heat exchangers. I'm getting over 2400 miles on my hyfax as a rule and no over heating issues even when snow is marginal.
