Just wondering if anyone has upgraded the track on a Apex XTX to a a 1.5", and are there any issues with the upgrade. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I upgraded to the 1.5" Crossover . Love the hook up and deep snow performance over the stocker. The only downside is you will need to do some clutching . Mine won't shift to 10800 dispite trying a new secondary spring and waiting for 2K miles of break in time. I'm waiting for a kit from Ulmer now , I'll post results when I can .

Thanks for the info, i was thinking that there was going to be a small issue with the clutching. Looking forward to hearing about the results from your new clutch. Keep me posted

Did you experience any rubbing from the track to the underside of the tunnel? I've been reading that there is some concern with studding due to the small amount of clearance, but most post were for the Apex SE not the XTX.

I've been running mine for 600 mi. Saw 111 mph on the speedo today. Pulls 10,900 on long runs, around 10,000 the rest of the time. Only rubbing I've seen or heard is when reversing. Definite upgrade from the ripsaw.

The xtx is delivered with 44 mm/1.73inch backcountry in norway and sweden.no problem works great;-)

I wish they made a 1.5 cobra.

They do make one, but at this time it is proprietary to a few Arctic Cat models ... just like the Ripsaw II being proprietary to the 2012 FX Nytro.

141 rail extensions and some new drivers the 1.5 cobra will fit on an apex

the upgrade to the 1.5" Track is best thing i ever did, with a little electronic modification to the governor in the motor, hitting max rpm @ 11,800.

fastest sled in the interlake region in manitoba, canada.
