Can someone give me the spec on how much material to remove from the upper ball joint. A buddy of mine who has a lathe is going to cut them after work today. Thanks.

Ruggy, it's 2mm to 2.5mm
Post your feedback once reinstalled. I'd be interested to know how well it works.

Sets camber in a touch to improve handling.

What does machining the ball joints usually cost?

For me it was free. I have a buddy with with a lathe but should cost anywhere from $40-1 million dollars.

So I ran the sled to work today and this thing just keeps getting better and better. Hard to say how much it helped because I removed the sway bar and adjusted the shocks at the same time. If you have the FX shocks removing the sway bar would be a non issue. You can adjust the damping to compensate for the loss of the sway bar.

So you're saying it was worth it? Is there a difference between the 07's and later or are they all the same stock for camber? I thought I read somewhere that they changed this on 08"s and up.

If you look at the upper ball joints you'll see the flat shoulders butting up to the A-arm on both sides of the joint shaft. You remove the joint and take off the material (2.5mm) of the flats to bring the top of your spindles towards the sled centre. This changes the camber to somewhere near the sweet spot of 21 degrees.

OK, makes sense now thanks. I know a machinist so might try this sometime. Thanks

I would say yes. Everything just adds up and there are no negatives. On the way home from work today the sled had no darting at all and it did have some before although minimal. In all fairness though when I cut the uppers it does cause a slight toe in so that may have caused some improvement. Personally I doubt it. My toe was bang on before the mod and toe in would have effected it in a negative way.
I do also recall someone mentioning a different BJ for the '08 and up but I have since change mine out and Partzilla shows the same BJ for all sleds.
