I bent my upper control arm on my FX when I hit a tree. I tried to order a new one but the 3 dealers I called said they don't have it and it is on backorder with no ETA. The part number is 8GK-23540-00-P0 is there any dealer that has one? I'm hoping to ride this weekend.

I tried them, everyone I called didn't show it as backordered online but when I call they say it is.

Try calling yamaha customer service. Thats what i had to do when my a- arms got bent and the dealer told me they were on back order. I waited a month for the parts, but once i called yamaha my self it sped up the process a little bit.

Bent both upper and lower a-arms on an all blue Phazer FX a few weeks ago. At the time both parts were on backorder so I simply installed the khaki color a-arms on both the upper and lower to get me through the season anyway.

I just spoke with my supplier and he told me that the California warehouse has recieved the A-arms and the system doesn't show backorder anymore. He will get it by Tuesday. I hope so
Whats with all the broken a-arms. I guess I need to start riding harder!! lol

All I know is the A-arms are tough as nails... we tried to "temporarily" repair it, and couldn't get the dang thing to bend
back, even used a torch to heat it up, it was glowing red.

Bent back the first lower a-arm by heating it up with the torch and sticking it in the vise with a little pushing it went right back easily.
