I pulled the skid out of my Apex...Just re greasing the idler wheels...(way to go Yamaha) ..Anyway, my two upper idler wheels have the rubber starting to split in places on the top of the wheels...how do I get them off the shaft? Are they just pushed on the shaft and are now stuck or do I need a big #*$&@ puller...?

You need a puller to get that bearing off. Its pressed on tight.

Put the skid on its side on a work table, have the shaft hang over the end on the table. Use a rubber hammer and hit the shaft from the top. It will push the bearing off the shaft. Then flip the skid over and do it to the other side.

You don't need a puller, just tap the end of the shaft with a mallet and the bearing/wheel will come off, there installed with a light interference fit.

Once you get one wheel off do the other side with the axle in the suspension.

Screw the bolt back into the shaft 1/2 way and then use a rubber hammer to tap on the bolt, shaft should slide off bearing.

got the two wheels off....simple...stick bolt in end of shaft ...give a wack and watch them fall off..replace bearings and install
