Most of the people who post at the below site are riding now on Tug Hill :

This is the area within the rectangle (more or less) formed by the 4 hamlets/towns of Barnes Corners, Lowville, Constableville, and Redfield NY.

You will also see comments on Adirondack area trails - Cranberry Lake, Old Forge areas are decent now too.....kinda. Note that for Old Forge area you need a special trail pass ($$).

just got back from tug hill. at least 2 feet in most places on the hill. my sled became invisible under 4+feet of bottomless snow near Flat Rock this afternoon..

RIDE IT WHILE YOU CAN! met 2 different groomers during our ride. trails are very good all over the hill!

Rode the Tug this weekend, its rideable and not bad. If it warms up this week and rains i wouldnt waste your time unless your going to be die hard.
The snow isnt awesome and after lunch are really beat. Personally this winter has been a wash, and I wouldnt spend big money to come out here.

Lodging maybe look in lowville or the Montague.
