Don't know how old your Dad is and stuff but my next sled with be a Yamaha with EPS. My arthritic shoulder are crying for EPS!!! And y'all say that if you have the Doo 1200 you don't need EPS. BS!!! I've got quality time on a Doo. If you want to ride 200 miles while seeing "winding trail" signs all day, you'll be happy that you have EPS.

A Vector has EPS and is no slouch. Similar HP (albeit less) and performance to the Viper and Doo 1200.

The vector ltx with EPS is just as quick as the viper and nytro in my experiences. My family has all three and I'd say the vector would actually take the win in a long drag. I would buy a vector with EPS if all I rode was trails and I'm 25. You can ride all day long through the curves steering with one hand.
You could steer your father to an APEX with EPS. Plenty of power there.

Vector LTX is one sweet ride. Underrated. EPS and does everything well including winning the shootout two years in a row. Setup the rear suspension sag to his weight and enjoy.
