Vector beat the Apex

My 05 Vector was nothing special. Lost to 600's all the time. I bought the Ulmer Stage III for it along with different plugs and carb springs. Never lost to a 600 after that and would run slightly ahead of my Dad's rx1 to 60.

Against my Apex it would be no contest. I've seen 124 on the dream meter with the Apex, 112 was the highest ever on the vector.

What plugs and carb springs did you put in the 05 Vector? Looking to get a little power out of mine as well.

The Ulmer clutch kit makes the most noticible difference. A serious improvement in acceleration. The carb springs are green Holtzman springs which replace the stock slide valve springs in the carburetors for better throttle response (I personally did not notice much of a difference). Ulmer also sells these. I tried out the Ultimax belt during my last ride last year and found that is was like adding another clutch kit. Pulled harder all around. Tom Hartman turned me onto this belt. I had it as a spare and used it when my 8DN delaminated. I was very pleased with the Ultimax3. Called Hartman today to talk about belts. He said the new XS belt is the way to go so I have one of those on the way.
