Vector lossing coolant. Will light come on?

I’m riding right now and the vector coolant pipe wore a small hole thru it and is leaking. Will hot light come on even if it runs out of coolant. I just keep adding coolant for now

Not necessarily.
Do not run that engine low on coolant or your repair bill can get very expensive.

There is no low coolant light. Temp sensor needs coolant for an accurate reading since it is remote in the thermostat housing.

Where is this coolant pipe located & how did it wear a hole in it.

On the back heat exchanger. Rivets loosened up and heat exchanger was rubbing on side of tunnel

I’m pretty sure that your Vector will go in a shut down mode if overheating. My 06 did and same with my 15 although it hasn’t happened with the 15.
