My Vector is in storage for the summer, and I have started it several times, however when I went to start it this weekend it would crank but not start. Has fuel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

Is your vector a 973 cc carb engine? They lose prime from sitting in the off season.
Some guys pinch off the fuel tank vent and blow compressed air into the gas tank to prime the carbs. If you don't have access to compressed air at your storage, use a makeshift gas can to prime the carbs:
Disconnect gas lines from fuel pump and hook them directly to can. Let gas flow down to the bowls and it will start right up. Reconnect gas lines to the fuel pump and you're good to go. There will be enough fuel left in the bowls and lines for the fuel pumps to prime the entire line from the tank - carbs.
I use this can to run my 973 while the vaccuum lines are unhooked for syncing my carbs. Works good!
Hope this helps!

Your plugs could also be fouled from starting it randomly over the summer. Unless you get them up to operating temps, they get fouled with unspent fuel and water.

THANK YOU for your help, I bet you are 100% correct that it lost prime to the carbs. Bring on the snow!Your plugs could also be fouled from starting it randomly over the summer. Unless you get them up to operating temps, they get fouled with unspent fuel and water.

I hope that's all the problem is? I had the same issue with my 973 carb Vector at the beginning of its second season.
Prime it up and she'll fire right off!

Just an old 1 gallon gas can and two fuel talk fittings recycled from old sleds.

I was going through an old phone and came across this picture of the gas can in use during a carb sync.

I was able to run my sled without a gas tank hooked up. Interesting...

I use the can to prime my carb Vector every fall and then sync while still hooked up. It's possible, but I'm not quick enough to make the adjustment with just the fuel left in the lines.I was able to run my sled without a gas tank hooked up. Interesting...

I gotcha. I was able to be a benefactor of a buddy that had a pretty nice motion pro sync tool. It took him seconds to sync. Unreal how well the Nytro starts now.
