I picked up a fx nytro crankshaft and camshafts with plans to put them in my vector motor. Wondering if anyone has done this. From what I can tell they will fit in and the nytro crank is lighter=faster revving. and the nytro cams are more agressive, Figure that this combo would make more hp out of the vector motor.
Here is my concern. With more agressive cams it is possible that my vacuum may be low and cause the carbs to not work right. But thinking since the motor is turboed it may not matter.
What do you guys think? Anyone have any real world experience with nytro parts in a vector motor?

I have a set of wiseco forged turbo pistons with swain tech ceramic coating if your interested. A guy sold them to me claiming they were nytro pistons but they are for a vector.

ya, would of liked to try the ceramic coating, at least the carrillo rods that came with them worked. What are the cam changes between the two engines duration? lift?

I am not 100% sure what changes between the cams I was just told that they are far more aggressive. I am pretty sure it is a matter of duration but the same lift.
I am still thinking about those pistons. Just had a baby and can't spend a ton of money right now though. If I did pistons I might as well do rods too and run 20lbs of boost.

ya, its a fairly big job to take it all apart and not do it all. I won't advertise the pistons or anything, just let me know if you decide against them too.
