Very carefully!
I unplug the wire and slowly/gentally twist the cap back and forth while pulling upward.
You don't want to break one of these babies.....they're pricey. When you go to put it back on, make sure to seat it all the way. You should hear/feel it when it does seat properly.

Yeah they are a bit intimidating at first but Tfin hit the nail on the head...it takes a good pull to get them started, once they are off a few times they seem to loosen up slightly.

I put some dielectric grease in the end of plug boot and on the upper part that slides into valve cover.
