I was riding alone this morning and all I can say is Thank God I had the Warn sno-winch - which did the job - but is now not working properly....
I can also share that if you dump the Venture Lite as displayed above and leave it that way while you bust a nut trying to lift it - dig it out - then get a winch setup - you'll lose a couple of quarts of oil that'll dump into your air filter and all over the sled...
Glad I was 100yds away from a shop that opened later and had some oil and could clean my filter - and supplied rags for me to try to wipe most of the remaining oil off the sled...
fun fun fun
Hmm, reminds me of the first time that I rode my RS Venture GT. My sled also rolled over and played dead. No Warn winch for me, just some very sore muscles next day.

Put another 100 miles on this weekend on the vent lite...this time 2-up with the wife. I've always ridden the rockets, and we rented 2-ups...but my previous comments still hold true...excellent sled 2-up, great sled solo...no speed deamon by a long shot, but very happy with the performance. So, how fast is this thing supposed to be able to go, anyhow? I know it's not a 100+ lake laser, but what have you folks seen out of yours?

we were out, two up in 10" of fresh on 10" of wind packed lake and hit 90 kmh with the engine turning around 10800. I am running a long track and a 17/45 gears, I think the Venture Lites sold in the States are running 19/45 gear sets so would be considerably faster. Probably in the area of 80 mph WFO on packed snow.

this thing doesn't seem to get even close to that. I dont want to go WFO too long with 250 miles on it, but I cant seem to get 70mph out of her solo on a semi-packed trail...almost feels like something is dragging...track tension seems ok...not sure...maybe it needs to loosen up a bit

Last year on groomed trail I hit 138kph which is 85mph on the dream meter with my v lite. That was with excellent conditions.
