The nice thing about the 144" track is that you can eventually replace it with a quiet track, which to my knowledge are not available for the longer TF models yet. I'm currently shopping for my third track for my 05 RS Venture with 27,500 miles. The AC Quiet Track really reduced the lower frequency of the drone/howl on my sled. I'm looking at the Silent Cobra now, which also has the raised ramps inside. Spendy tracks though. Anyone out there try a Silent Cobra on a venture yet?
I did experiment years ago by removing all 6 wheels and the drone completely disappeared, but so did my slides if I wasn't in powder.

Two-stroke. Two-stroke engines have different exhaust systems, but the basic muffler design is similar. A two-stroke pipe uses its reflective pressure wave to keep the fuel/air mixture inside the combustion chamber. Most of this tuning is done in the pipe itself, but muffler length and diameter play a part. Two-stroke sound waves do not travel as far as four-stroke waves, which is why sound issues quadrupled with the popularity of four-stroke motocross bikes.
