I had a new (100 miles) yamaha belt on my 2010 vector and was pulling hard (full throttle) out of a corner and felt something change, then there was a vibration. I stopped and inspected the belt and it still looked like new but changed it to a brand new one anyway just for comparison and the vibration is gone. Has anyone ever experienced something like this. I closely inspected the belt, flipped it inside out etc... it looks perfect. Any idea what happened?

Did you look over the top cogs? Sometimes they start to separate causing an imbalance.

I thoroughly examined every bit of this belt and felt/looked for flat spot , de-lamination etc... It looks / feels like new. I am wondering if an internal cord could have broken or something and not be visible

I installed a brand new belt on mine before my Michigan trip a month ago. It didn't even have one mile on it. As we were unloading it,backing it off the trailer ramp, the rear end got stuck in some deep snow. One of the guys reached over and gunned my throttle. I could smell the belt bad. Yeh it ticked me off, I said thanks you just toasted my new belt. Sure as heck I had a nice vibration in it at higher speeds. :(
