man I wish my turbo sounded like that. I can barely ever hear mine blowing off. My 162 does not perform like that either. Maybe once i get the lower gearing in will it lift the skis like that.

Remember if thats what you want to do the LTX will not lift its nose like that!
Very true! Unless in some powder then it will, but on the trail it will lift it up for a sec or two. Then lays flat. Powder it will stand up pretty close to the same. I have had my 1.6 lug track pretty much straight up in four feet of powder.![]()
Thanks Yamadog and YamahaTim for the info. Ive been reading a lot on the Vipers and follow both of your posts and threads. You guys have great info and TotallYamaha is great!
Thanks again!
No worries! If your having trouble between the XTX and LTX, I will try and help.
If your a trail rider and stick to the trail, I would get the LTX if your on and off I would get the LTX with a 1.6 lug track. If your mostly off trail then the XTX. I don't lose anything with the LTX in powder against the 1.6 lug XTX. And have the same ability. Now on trail the LTX won't lift the front end. While in the powder it will lift just as good. Now the XTX will probably get to the top of the snow a little faster, cause of the uncoupled skid. To you will have the best of both on and off with the LTX with a 1.6 track. It's easier to handle on trail and really the length of the actual skid is around 1/2 inch. Maybe a little more. But not much and if you got the LTX with 1.6 lug track you would have just as many lugs on the ground as the XTX if not more. If you like wheelies get the XTX! But on trail it's not as easy to ride as the LTX. Either way both great sleds. When getting your sled set up the LTX will be easier to set up for both on and off trail. The XTX is a different animal on trail. To get around as fast and easy as the LTX you will have to change a lot on the XTX. Then it might make a huge difference while off trail.
Thats what he said!!! Yes getting the XTX fast in the turns has been a challenge not quite there yet!

We have Hero Snow right now. So I decided to take out the XTX with the trail turbo installed and put it through its paces. This is what the muffler on the low cost Trail Turbo kit will sound like. The wide front end sure makes for a fun ride in the mountains!!
hey matt what does the light weight muffler from mpi sound like iv seen a video on it but all i could here was the wind
This is there lightweight turbo muffler, its louder than the stock one but not obnoxious.
