If this sled fails to do a 100mph it will go down as one of the biggest pooches ever made. I would be seriously pissed. Doo's 1200 will do 105mph out of the crate. Nytros can do a 100, no reason this sled shouldn't

I can all but guarantee the XTX won't hit triple digits and I couldn't care less either...by the time I'm done with it, I hope it's one of the fastest to 90 mph...that's the rush for me...sitting at 105 mph across the lake isn't.

Granted the xtx may not...but the 137 and the 129 should.
Saw a LTX SE in the flesh yesterday in Bonnyville, Alberta. Ride position is very comfortable. Fit and finish was better than expected. White tunnel shows dirt. Lower blue plastic pieces looked a little cheap. Expect black would look better and red the same. I like the new gauges. Lots of data included.

Couldn't agree with you more. I don't just sit on the lake all day and hold my sled wide open for miles to see how fast it goes. I do however do it on several occasions throughout the winter so true speed is important to me even tho I ride 95% trail riding. Therefore that's why I bought a viper cuz in my opinion it'll be the best trail sled out there and by no means will they be slow. Snowmobiles that were built 20+ years ago were reaching speeds of 100+. I'm sure there is now way these new sleds with way more technology won't be able to do the same and if that's the case I'll be the first to put my viper for sale. 100mph+ Is by no means out of the question

I could care less about triple digits also. Radar use is the norm in New England now, and I've outgrown the balls to the walls view I had. As long as this sled is quick and can handle I'll be stoked.

It is not geared for top speed, you are not very knowledgeable about sleds huh?
Want top speed buy an Apex

I got the chance to try out a supercharged nytro two years ago with the mpi 180hp kit. This is when yamaha and mpi were teaming up to make these kits a factory option. My dealer was the one chosen to install the kit and set up the sled for testing. No I'm not saying it was the first nytro to be supercharged, this was the sled they tested to be able to actually sell the kit as a yamaha accessory. This was a true bolt on 180hp kit on pump gas. Only thing added was clutching to obviously put the power to the groung. That sled did multiple 118-120mph runs with just the bolt on kit and clutching. Now everyone knows a clutch kit alone does not make a sled capable of gain much if any speed. Yes speed can be gained but maybe a few mph. Without any gearing done by adding hp u aren't going to change speed just quickness. That being said it proves to me these sleds are easily capable of 100+ mph speeds. Everyone rides different if u don't care about going wide open that's fine if you that's ok too. All I'm saying is that these sleds are easily capable of running those speeds even if stock form whether or not u decide to try it is anyone's personal choice. My choice is to know for sure what the sled will do when I get it and to determine if the mods I choose to use actually help or hinder the sled from that point.
