Looking into a 2015 viper and trying to decide best track length for my riding style. I trail ride in the UP and also in Wisconsin. I am 5'-11"& 230lbs. I am somewhat of an aggressive rider. Which track length is the best choice and why?.

How much additional track/lugs on the ground does the 129" track have over a 120".
How much additional track/lugs on the ground does the 137" have over a 129".

How much better ride can one expect with the 137 track?
How much is sacrificed in the corners with the 137 track?
Does the longer track take more effort thru tight corners?
Which track length will handle the best??

Why does Yamaha list the 137 as a trail machine when all others list a 136-137 as a
crossover trail/offtrail machine??

I had a 136" Polaris Switchback Rush on the trailer next to my 129" Viper and they are so close in track length when side by side it's hard to tell the difference. They are so close honestly don't know why they make a 129 and a 137. You would be happy with either one I think, 3-4" of track on the ground isn't going to make that big of a difference.

About 1 pitch extra on the ground between the two.. Cant go wrong with either chassis, I got a "Shorty" because that is what i have always ridden. I think the 129's are transferring more weight out of the box than the 137's could be wrong but this is just what im noticing from friends on similar length tracks.

When I demoed the two sleds the ltx had more push in the corners than the rtx. Maybe it was just setup but that's what I found between the two sleds.

The LTX is worth it if your on choppy trails or want to get off trail now and then. If you always ride smooth groomed tight twisty trails go rtx. Even off trail my buddy on his Nytro rtx can outride me on my viper LTX but that comes down to ability. I'm a fast trail rider but wanted some more bump bridging that's why I went with ltx
