I have a 2014 xtx, i'm at 700km on the sled... we were out on the trails and everything ran perfect. After hitting some powder and doing some carving. I ended up on the side of the sled and it stalled. After couldn't get it back started for about 20ish minutes.

Once started, ran very crappy for about an hour or two... stalling, backfiring.. rough idling.

Any idea what it could be?

I also often get alarm code p1338 and p1339

Well Incase someone is reading the post.. went thru the hassle of changing the plugs. . Didn't think it would work but did. Any reason why these sleds would foil a plug?

Normally they don't foul plugs very often. Sometimes it will happen if you do a cold start, then shut it off again without letting the engine warm up.
However in your case it may have sucked in a little oil when you tipped it over and then carbon fouled a plug. Without being there when it happened, it's just a guess thou.....

Hmm that would make sense. What happens when these sled are tipped over or flipped? Should they be shut down right away?

Yes, shut them down immediately. Purchase an OFT tether/rollover kit.

I was wanting to get a teether cord! Going to look into that. Thanks man!

Yes as mentioned above you'll want to get it shut down right away. On four strokes if the engine is still running, the air escaping out of the oil tank breather tube can cause engine oil to leak out. Also on Viper/7000 sleds if the oil pick up in the oil tank is exposed to air (from the sled being on it's side) the oil pump can loose prime. In this case the oil light will be on when you go to re-start the sled.

If you are in snow deep enough to cover most of the vents the exhaust builds up underneath and it forces exhaust back into the engine compartment. Fan turning on and forcing it into the air box does not help. I now have a tight fitting muffler and no longer have that issue and some have cut out a round piece of metal and sealed the gap between the bellypan and the muffler pipe where it exits the body. Filling the engine full of exhaust and trying to start it a bunch of times could certainly foul the plugs.

That's some pretty interesting things... for the oil, any fix that can help prevent that? Oher then just shut her down ?

And for muffler, I think cutting a piece if metal sounds like a good idea..

Thanks guys, very well appriciated
